Ready In Three

Make a Plan, Make a Kit, Listen

It is important to know what to do in an emergency and where to go. Ready in 3 is an easy way to learn how to prepare for any emergency.

Ready in 3 includes three steps:

  • Create a plan for you, your family and your business.
  • Prepare a kit for home, car and work.
  • Listen for information about what to do and where to go during an actual emergency.

Below are some helpful downloadable brochures to help you plan for any type of emergency in english, spanish and somali. The information is brought to you in cooperation from the partners in the Columbus Metropolitan Medical Response System.

In an emergency it may be dangerous to evacuate if there are harmful agents or materials in the air. You may be told to find shelter indoors wherever you are. This is called Shelter-In-Place. The Shelter-in-Place Card provides simple instructions about how to take shelter indoors. It also provides steps to take if you do need to evacuate.
